Live widget
The live widget is great and provides an easy at a glance status of my charge, especially on iPhone 14 with the always on screen!
2 things:
- the flashing text is annoying at the bottom (see video)
- when I woke up this opening, the live widget had stopped updating 😭
- NOTE: I also installed the Watch for Tesla app via TestFlight on my iPad and enabled cloud processing. This might have messed things up :-/
Troubleshooting steps I took:
- kill the app - no update to live widget
- Disable cloud processing and immediately turn it back on - no update to live widget
- Re-activate my vehicle - no update to live widget
- Restarted my iPhone - now the widget has disappeared, probably because charging is complete 🤦🏻♂️

I could see myself paying $12/year for the live widget feature. If you also include the fact you can do Siri Shortcuts, you could probably fetch double that even though I don’t think those Siri Shortcuts can be behind a paywall.
I agree, I like the Live widget, but the flashing text is annoying.
Also, there should be some setting to enable/disable the live widget if I didn't want to use it
Yeah - the flashing text is super annoying - it's a bug introduced by apple in iOS 16.2+ - nothing I can fix, but might be able to work around.
Settings for live activities are built-in to iOS and you have to confirm to keep first time.
Heh, would you look at that! I even checked this Settings page yesterday, but managed to miss that toggle even while looking straight at it 😆
