Certain controls on watch app stops working
Hi,
Certain controls stop working on the watch app but the Tesla app is fully functional.
I can’t open, close frunk/trunk with the watch pp but works on the Tesla app.
Sounds like a connectivity issue? The official app can fall back to Bluetooth when in range - 3rd party apps cannot.
Could you check the data counter in the top left corner and verify it's resetting every 5 seconds? Then try executing commands - and if they still fail, please send me the logs, accessible from the settings screen.
I got this same problem.
More details, please. I just checked my car - all controls work, so not an apparent Tesla api change
it counts until 11s and starts from zero again until 11s. I click on open frunk/trunk... are you sure? Yes. And nothing happens.
I found the issue - there IS a new issue with the Tesla api - I fixed it a long time ago in the current beta, but never got around to shipping that release (having two kids is more work than having one!!!)
For all affected, please join the beta here:

I’d been seeing this issue with HomeLink not working through Watch for Tesla but working in the Tesla app today, so I tried the beta and it resolved it! Thanks!
I am having the same issues with not being able to open and close trunk/frunk after confirming
I can confirm that I was affected as well, it started with the 2022.16.3 update or the last Tesla app update, not sure which. I couldn't get the trunk or charging % to work. The beta version above to seem to resolve the issue. Thanks for the quick fix! You don't realize how reliant you are on the watch app until it starts misbehaving lol...
I am also noticing problems for certain controls
The beta solved the problem partly. But. Now when I click the Watch for Tesla app on my Apple Watch 5, it takes like 5-10 secs to get online. After that I’m able to click open frunk and the it takes another 5 secs before it actually opens. Any tips for this?
