Why is Advanced greyed out?
Like this:
And this:
And from the Watch:
That's super weird! What version and build is this?
Version: 1.2.3 (960)
Please try reverting to the App Store build and verify issue is resolved in shipping build - then I'll check the beta build and see if I can repro. I was not able to do so in 961, so might have to ship that one :-D
Looks good. I have had problems with the car not falling asleep. I deleted the app on both the Watch and iPhone, and downloaded from the AppStore. But I was not asked to log in to Tesla when I first started. Does it store login data somewhere that is not deleted when I delete the app?
Correction. The same thing happens with the AppStore version. Could this be the reason why the car does not fall asleep during the day? It slept last night, but woke up at 6:01, and I think that is the time the app is set to by default. But it does not look like it helps to delete the app, and therefore I wonder if there are any settings that remain. As it is now, I can not change the time for sleep / awake.
I will now try with another phone, and report.
Got it, and stupid me. The fading of the Advanced settings happens when Travel mode is selected! But one question remains: Where are the credentials hidden when the apps are deleted?
Could it be that this is not working? (I know you can read Norwegian 😀)
Hey @mobile26
Hah! Thanks for helping me debug my own app! I completely forgot that I deactivated the fields instead of hiding them, when travel mode was enabled! Wow :-D
The login remains after app delete for one reason: the login is stored in your iCloud Keychain, and is shared across all your devices where you've logged in and enabled iCloud Keychain - so if you delete the app on one device, that does not affect the login token stored in your shared keychain. If you want to get rid of your login from your keychain, you have to go to settings and tap log out before deleting the app from all your devices.
Do note, that your login NEVER EVER leaves your devices - I have NO infrastructure running to support this app. I don't know who has the app installed. I know NOTHING about my customers. I know the sales numbers from the app store connect interface, but that is all the statistics I have about my users. And I like it that way! For your privacy - and my safety - I can't loose, misplace or abuse data I do not have :-D
Thanks! Now I understand it all. Did not know anything about storage in iCloud, but this is very smart. The moment I logged out of the other devices, and corrected the settings, the car instantly fell asleep. Should have figured it out myself, as it worked fine before I involved the third device. Hope you are on the road to recovery, and look forward to your regular support, and new inventions.
Ok after reboot
This is back in 1.2.4 (972)

@mobile26 which commands?
Reinstall on the watch fixed that. Still having issues with this message not disappearing no matter what I do with the charging port. It indicates correctly in the Tesla app.
Yeah - that should be fixed with next beta build :-D
