connection issue
Hello,
I have the following issue: After a while using my computer and not Abacadabra I can not connect my RTL-SDR device anymore to use Abacadabra. I have to take it out of the USB-port and stick it in again to be possible to connect it in Abacadabra. And then everything works fine. Is this problem related to Abacadabra or maybe to WIndows. The RTL-SDR device is: PzzPss Digital satellite DVB T2 USB TV Stick Tuner With Antenna Remote HD USB TV Receiver DVB-T2/DVB-T/DVB-C/FM/DAB USB TV Stick I have Windows-Home 11 24H2.
Can you help me? BTW; I love Abacadabra.

Hi, I saw this problem on Windows already. It happened to me when the RTL-SDR device was used by other application before. The only solution was to re-plug the USB stick as you do. I think it was also working with RTL-SDR driver based on libusb instead of WinUSB that is used by AbarcaDABra on Windows by default.
You can try with this library. Just backup librtlsdr.dll in the installation directory and unpack the DLL from zip file to the directory. Warning: it may have some side effects, the library is pretty old.
Thank you for the answer, I am going to try it. Let's see if it works. I'll come back to you
KejPi,
It works for me. Whenever I start AbarcaDABra, no matter how long Windows is already running, it connects. Thanks very much, it is amazing that there is always a have solutions for such a vague issue. I have not noticed any side effects.
Maybe you can adopt this dll in the next release.

I am glad it works. Actually the DLL in the release should perform better on older HW accoding ot notes here: https://github.com/old-dab/rtlsdr/blob/master/README_improvements.md The library, I have shared here, was build from modified old-dab source for the usage of libusb. For simplicity I would prefer to stick with driver maintained by old-dab for the official releases.
