Commits not released goes into older version

Hello, sorry for bothering you... I've got a simple question. I've some commits not released in the develop branch (I'm working on version 3 of my package). This branch contains commits older than the current master branch (I pushed some hotfixes in the meantime). When I generate commits for the develop branch, my old commits (which belong to version 3) go inside the old releases of my package. What can I do? I can't figure it out...
