If weather entity dont get outdoot temperature
Hi,
My weather entity lost network connection. That couse thermostat turn off, (Summer )
@PetteriLah yes i had the same issue today, it was a bit Strange but its not a BT issue for me a ha restart helped. The weather entity comes back and BT work again.
Yes restart helps, Maby BT-code can add allowed values for weather entity. it is bad if is -20 celsius and nobady is home to boot system.
It seems to happen with OpenWeatherMap and met.no weather entities. Has so far not happened with a DWD weather entity.
BT should default to 'on' instead of 'off' if the weather entity goes unavailable tbh.
I ran into the same problem just now but noticed it a few times before. My internet connection wasn't online, OpenWeatherMap didn't report any temperature and as a result, my five BT devices switched to summer mode.
I also think it should fallback to on
when the weather entity suddenly becomes unavailable.
When it's warm outside and BT switches to on
nothing should really happen, as the temps would almost always be high enough as to not turn on.
And even if the the radiator gets warm it's better as the alternative of freezing to death 😅
