Support for simple valve switch

Open mokry opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

I would like to see support for basic switch relays. In my house I have only floor heating system, so only way to control the temperature is open/close valve by switching then ON/FF.

For example there is a valve on AC: https://enerzon.pl/cms/Siłownik-termoelektryczny-230V-Alpha_5_ENERZON.png And there is image how it looks connected to underfloor heating switchgear: https://technikadesign.pl/hpeciai/a8eda15c3e1f9a0aef88e913c58b3ca2/pol_pm_SILOWNIK-230V-NO-MOEHLENHOFF-32902_2.jpg

All pipes going under the floor and heating all rooms.

To control them I have to use switch entity to open/close the valve. It would be great to support switches in the Better Thermostat.

So thermal control would be by using:

  • relay (switch entity) for the valves
  • temperature sensors (as is now)
  • and other cool features delivered by the integration.

Of course there could be more than one switch for valve relay ;)

might be you are looking for generic thermostat?

I am using it for an electric switch witch an electric heater. With generic thermostat it becomes a normal thermostat similar to my heaters with TRV.
