Implement a tabbed multi document view

It would be nice to open documents in the same window with tabbed UI.

This will not be implemented. The only tabbed interface I had in mind was with S&T, but the API AFAIK is limited for now.

What about implementing booth of them, and let the user select which one (s)he prefers? I think there is already a tabbed view public api, so it shouldn't be too hard to implement it. There is some folks, who likes tabbed views better than window tabs (it makes my worspace cuttered). Just my 2 cents.

I think we should try to make window management better instead of making workarounds for usability issues. I am reopening the issue, but I won't be working on it. If anyone wants to implement it, go ahead and make it an option, but it will not be the default.
