First of all, I must confess that I no longer use this library myself. I have a second library for a simple zip download. https://github.com/Kanti/simple-update https://packagist.org/packages/kanti/simple-update It has no documentation, but the code should probably be understandable. A word of warning, I would no longer use both libraries. If you are familiar with the material, you can fork the project. I would be happy if the software lives on.
