Describe the specific change you would like:
In the scenario where SRI has taken the focus of the fate of the pope, but subsequently is defeated and Italy finds itself under new management, I think there should be an event where Europe's victors decide what to do with the papacy.
If the old pope had gone into exile, a news event of 'The Pope Returns To Rome' would be warranted.
Explain the reasoning behind this actionable change:
I had that fringe scenario happen in my current game (LKMT lol) where The Red Pope event fired. And then a couple months later France fell and Germany swept into Italy with Sardinia getting the prize.
Such occurrences are fairly unlikely to occur but were they to do so, it would make for a nice bit of flavor of either the old pope returning from exile, a new conclave called and the red pope being excommunicated/assassinated or a concordat being reached with the red pope to let him stay on so long as he doesn't cause trouble.
