how to stop forwarding call

There seem to be no option to stop forwarding calls

In the app you can just press the toggle call forwarding again. From the widget you just have to press the widget again and call forwarding will be disabled.

It doesn't work for Android 13 - One UI Version (Galaxy Xcover 5)

Do you get any toast notifications and if what do they say ?

No toast. Once you activate Forwarding you cant stop it. Widget also doesn't work.

i have got it to recreate this behavior i will have a look it seems it has something to do with the notification permission if this isn't given the app does not work correctly. To fix it for now you have to give the app the notification permissions and also stop the app completely and then start it.

I think another problem is that service starts by itself right after phone boots

flex567 avatar Jul 06 '24 14:07 flex567

You cannot turn off call forwarding once you start it even after enabling notifications

the service runs all the time in the background and listens to an indicator if the call forwarding is set to true or false so the widget can be updated(in case the call forwarding isn't triggered by the app or widget). The running service doesn't indicate that call forwarding is active.

Could you check out the new version https://github.com/Kaiserdragon2/CallForwarding/releases/tag/v1.9 and see if it resolves the issue.

I'm just checking out your app for the first time (running 1.9) and seem to either run into this bug or misunderstand the app: Pressing either the widget or the button in the app activates the call forwarding, but pressing again does not deactivate it again?!

When you toggle it again does the app show the persistent notification? I can, on my end, only replicate this behaviour when the persistent notification isn't shown due to a lack of permission or battery management killing it.

The persistent notification is shown, clicking it does not do anything (I don't know if something should happen). The widget is also shown, however only the red variant, no matter which state the call forwarding is in. Toggling the widget only turns on the call forwarding, the same goes, BTW, for the button in the app itself. I have to deactivate call forwarding with the built-in menu of Android (dialer app?! don't know). This is on a fresh install of LineageOS21/Android14.

Is it possible for you to send me a Log file you could gather log data with this tool https://f-droid.org/packages/com.f0x1d.logfox/.

I will not test it as I currently don't use the software anymore
