Hello everyone. My 2 cents: IDK if is this already possible, but if I were in your shoes, I'd made this able to handle these kind of tracks:

• Audio (waveform)
• Video
• Image (optionally in sequence)
• 1D curves for changing parameters of patch objects (aka automations)
• Piano Roll clips (this would require a Piano Roll)

I would reformulate it like:

• Audio Clips
• Video Clips
• Folder Clips (Image sequences)
• Midi Clips (not necesarily a piano roll but all kind of MidiChannel events)

1D curves would be part of the keyframe editing mechanism
