El capitan compatibility
Hey guys El capitan is slowly rolling out. Has someone tried installing it in ours 573g? Does everything work just as it did on Yosemite? How was your impression?
haven't even tried. i'm just waiting for the official release
Hey guys,
I'm running El Capitan public beta 3 and I'm not having any issues with Wifi, sleeping, shutting down, sound, trackpad, keyboard. I installed the yosemite IO80211Family.kext to get my wifi working because I don't have a supported card (AR4357) 2 problems I have though are: a) When i wake up from sleep, my computer is really slow (CPU problem I think not running at full speed?) b) Plugging in HDMI auto crashes/reboots the system.
@wilsoxu Thanks for sharing! a) have you ever checked the CPU speed exactly? get the HWSensor and check the exact info of cpu speed or speedstepping. b) no idea :( google it or open a thread in the forums :)
Hey @Kaijun
a) CPU multiplier is stuck at x8.0... I've had this problem before on Yosemite but it's fixable with SSDT edits i think.. b) Yeah I haven't seen anyone with this problem on the forums yet, but maybe it's because the Fake PCIID haven't been updated for El Capitan? :P
@wilsoxu if the speedstepping works totally fine before the laptop goes asleep, then there should be no problem with the SSDT, but it's probably related the DSDT, the part of "PTS" exactly. but even though, i also have no idea how to fix it... i don't know, we may just wait for the release version, or wait until some kind of guru posted the patches of DSDT for solving the problem.
@Kaijun Speedstepping is not working when i turn on my computer... hmmm, do you know why that is?
edit: Speedstepping isn't working when i use my own dsdt, but when I use yours, I have speedstepping when i turn on my computer... hmm I'll take a look
edit2: i've re-dumped my DSDT from Clover and it seems to work now! :) I'll try to figure out HDMI problem now...
@Kaijun Hey! So updating to El Capitan 10.11 Public Beta 5 actually fixed my HDMI problem... I've got HDMI fully working now
Hdmi audio also?

@Majkwin I can't seem to get HDMI audio working. I'm using VoodooHDA and it shows up as an option but it doesn't give me option to change the volume...
heres what i mean:

We have officially GM of El capitan, what means we should install it on our Acers :D What's working and what's not for now on EC?
Has someone tried installing El Capitan? I have problems with booting into installation. After few seconds computer restarts...
@Majkwin you probably need to use the latest version of clover
Yes, I have v.3270 and disabled SIP and while booting installer I'm getting
"panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff88295273a6): "zone init: know_suballoc failed"0/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/xnu/xnu-3247.1.99/osfnk/kern/zalloc.c:2199 " for 0.2s and immediately computer restarts
Ok, I managed to install El Capitan. The only thing that isn't working right now is audio - I have to spend more time with it to find out what to change.
@Majkwin I have the exact same error, I am on a Z97N-WIFI with I5 4690 and GTX 960. How did you fix it ? Thank you :)
It's a ram problem. You have to set memory in config.plist manually

Hi.
Before I start, I must thank Majkwin and Kaijun for their DSDT edits that made the process SO MUCH easier for me.
I use my laptop [i7 4500U, 8 GB RAM and GT 750 4GB(Disabled)] for school, and am planning to update to El Capitan as I need to use Xcode 7.2 Beta.
Is it safe, as of now, to do so?
Before updating:
- set ram in config, plist (check about this mac if yosemite displays values correctly)
- update clover to newest version
- disable SIP
- also you need to add one more patch for audio

- Fine. System Information can't detect the number and size of RAM modules, so will edit config.plist.
- Will update Clover to 2.3k r3320.
- Will do.
- Can you attach the patch?
I will upload my config.plist for El Capitan later today. You have 8gigs of ram on two bones?

Thank you. No, a single 8 gig module.
thanks majkwin! Recently i have no time to maintain these stuffs! 'Cause i have many projects running on the environment that i already configured on Yosemite. So i would try 10.11 after that all my projects are finished. If you know how GitHub works, you can fork this repository and add your stuffs into this repo, then make a pull request. I will merge your commit into this repo so that all others will benifit :) On Nov 2, 2015 1:20 PM, "Majkwin" [email protected] wrote:

Any updates, Majkwin? I am currently unable to boot the second stage of the installation using Clover 2.3k r3320.
http://www.speedyshare.com/xS8B8/config.plist
Sorry for uoloading it this way. For You to know:
- SMBIOS values are changed to not share my unique rom and mlb
- SIP is disabled
- ram is defined for 2x4gb
- additional audio patch is included
For working audio, you can not install modified applehda.kext - Only inject DummyHDA
Majkwin, sorry for the late reply. I am unable to boot into both the El Capitan setup and the existing install. This is what I am faced with, instead of the Apple logo, while booting.
I'm also having difficulty booting into the El Capitan installer.
I'm using the latest Clover, installed for EFI booting only (which worked for Yosemite), changed the config.plist to disable SIP, and installed the newest FakeSMC, Aptio2Fixdrv drivers.
Any fix?
Edit: Ace has the same problem as me, and we have similar laptops: the i7-4500u variant. Perhaps it's something to do with the DSDT and SSDTs? In a similar vein, I have noticed that my CPU never scales up to 3.0 GHz using the DDST and SSDTs posted in this repo, even though my processor is capable of doing so. Perhaps I need to compile my own DDST and SSDTs.
Enable verbose mode and check what kind of error You have - then google it, or tonymac it :D My problem was related with RAM, so I set it manually in config.plist (2x4GB) that I provided You with. After that I could boot into installer without any problems.

I did enable verbose. When I get the above "NO" error, it's the Osxaptio thing, which is fixed using the Aptio2Fix driver. When it's fixed, it just barely passes the aptio2fix thing, then flashes a warning on the screen for a split second before rebooting. Haven't been able to catch the error with a camera or otherwise.
I'll try the RAM fix, how do you set that? Either manually or using clover configurator is fine.
@Majkwin Can you share the clover & kexts for the El capitan ? Tks very much
@Majkwin, I am not able to boot the installer. Using verbose mode is thus futile. I have a single 8 GB module, but the config.plist attached in the master file worked perfectly. Do I need to modify the config.plist given here?
Did manage install 10.11.1 on V5-573G, install went well, ram recognised correct. Only few problems hard to resolve, one is the new El Capitan usb issue, all external devices connected to the usb are visible with System profiler, unfortunately all internal usb bus devices such as cardreader, webcam, bluetooth not recognised at all by Sysprofiler. How did you resolved the thing ? second question is shutdown, with 10.10.x everything worked well, now not, obviously also influence of usb problem ? last problem is brightness control, with 10.10.x dsdt/ssdt worked with acpibacklight, now not, with 10.11.1 control works with apple backlight but brightness is not enough adjustable. Can someone upload his dsdt/ssdt-s ? will help resolving the problems, also any hint or good glue is appreciated. thanks
personal points:
- usb problems: i think it was caused by the New OSX 10.11.1 drivers problem; fixed clover config will figure this out & right drivers : PS if you has elan touchpad, you can use the hackable elan drivers, search & install it .
- shutdown problem : usb problem
- brightness control: keyboard problem , install the right inner keyboard driver; maybe your acer V5 has Elan touchpad
Try & Reply. Could you share steps how to install it . i have a long time not dealing with Hacking OSX ....
Thanks leehz about comments. Short description about my install. Prepare and install El Capitan by following guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-guides/168236-guide-install-10-11-hp-elitebook-probook-others-clover-uefi.html you'll get also minimal set of essential kext's there (enough for clean install) and Clover 3316 (tried later also last 3320, but booting was slower). Using method 2b. (Manual way) usb install fitted on 8gb stick (300mb Clover + 7,75gb for os x). After install you can start deal with devices not working... Disable partly SIP (early called rootless mode), open Clover config and type to the RT Variables: BooterConfig 0x28 and CsrActiveConfig 0x3, reboot and start installing rest of drivers, like; working audio kext: https://github.com/Mirone/AppleHDA_10.11/blob/master/Laptop's/AppleHDA-272.50-ALC282_v1.zip just set audio layout to 3 in clover conf and works. Grab fake id files from RehabMan repo https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fake-pci-id/downloads, install: FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext (wasn't time test yet) FakePCIID.kext FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext (if you have broadcom wifi) or FakePCIID_AR9280_as_AR946x.kext (if you have atheros wifi) updated ethernet driver: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-realtek-network/downloads updated fakesmc: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fakesmc-kozlek/downloads voodoo keyboard/touchpad works fine: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-voodoo-ps2-controller/downloads updated battery driver: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-acpi-battery-driver/downloads after that you'll have to resolve some issues i have now, like usb not work fully, shutdown problem. Hope this short quide helps you with install. Strange thing with usb problems... but sleep works (blue led goes to orange pulse), after lid closing also goes to sleep, after lid opening automatically not waking, have to press any button for wake restart works, but you'll have to wait approx 30sec, before getting back boot screen (meanwhile screen is dark), after shutdown screen goes dark, but power remains (leds / fans on), needs powerbotton hold
Edited 20 Nov.
Brightness control slider works fully now, with intelbacklight.kext and with early for 10.10.x prepared dsdt/ssdt-s. https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-intel-backlight/downloads
Edited 22 Nov
Brightness works well aslo with acpibacklight.kext: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-acpi-backlight/downloads
USB works with injection of Clover and usbinjectall.kext: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-usb-inject-all/downloads

@striimer So much thanks. I will try it this weekend.
:xd
Did anyone resolved shutdown problem and how ?
Hey I have this problem can anyone else stuck at this "CPU Panic: panic (cpu 0 caller 0xffffff0015726346): "Zone-init: kmem_suballoc failed" 0 / Library / Caches / com.apple.xbs / Sources / xnu / xnu -3247.10.11 / osfmk / kern / zalloc.c 2199"
@striimer Maybe you can upload all your Clover folder for El Capitan. Maybe will start working wifi & brightness. Thanks in advance.
@toronadooo
here you go... download attachment, rename extension jpg to zip and decompress...
You can inspect acpi tables and config list, there isn't no more useful in EFI folder, all kexts installed in S/L/E. FullHD clover bootscreen garbled image resolved by using lower reso during clover booting time. Almost everything works, except shutdown, usb also corrected lately, sleep works like a charm, reboot fast, brightness works with acpibacklight and wifi with fakepciidbroadcom, i'm using BCM94352 hardware. For usb install use fakepciid_xhcimux.kext (you'll get ports right between usb2 and usb3) and usbinjectall.kext, also you need dsdt usb patch prw(0x06) (RehabMan repo) and rename EHC1 to EH01 patch (google), anyway you need bunch of dsdt fixes as well for you dsdt.
Brightness starts work when you fulfill 2 requirements, disable in dsdt & ssdt completely nvidia and apply brightness haswell fix in ssdt.
I was too lazy map the keyboard hardware keys for brightness, so far using slider syspref/displays...,
but it's not difficult, you'll find keys mapping info from RehabMan's repo, acpibacklight.
Would it be possible to integrate this into the mein repository to ensure el captain compatibility?
@Silveryard which? you mean the stuffs made by @striimer ? Sorry i haven't tried EL Captain jet... because currently i'm considering if i should buy a mac or not  And I have so many projects under development on my V5-573g, so i can't take the risk of changing it to EL Captain.
If you guys have made any progresses of making El Captain work, please Fork this Repository, learn the basic usage of Git and Github. And then Commit your own stuffs and Push, then Pull Request to me and i will see what you have added and merge your stuffs to my repository!
@striimer which backlight controller did u use... still cannot fix backlight
people with the i7 version can find necessary files here - https://github.com/michaelspeed/Acer-V5-573G-Hackintosh.git
see the el-capitan branch
clover updated, booting 10.11.3 not working - Wifi Nvidia brightness keys - see system preference>display (a brightness slider)
Works for i5 version too. Everything seems to work fine except USB. USB Drive, Mouse, Keyboard are all not recognised
My Procedure:
- Updated Clover to newest version (r3346) and replaced CLOVER directory on the EFI partition with the provided from @michaelspeed s repo.
- Installed El Capitan Update (10.10.1 -> 10.11.3)
- After updating builtin trackpad and keyboard did not work but usb mouse and keyboard did, so I used them
- Fixed HD 4400 issue
- Reboot
- Installed all kexts from the kexts directory
- After reboot, trackpad and keyboard worked
But now usb devices do not work. Strange. Any ideas what could have gone wrong?
try this... https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-usb-inject-all/downloads
but my usb are working fine without it also.
Tried this but it did not work. My mouse has a builtin light. It lights up on boot and while clover os selections but turns off while booting to el capitan.
The suggested kext is also in your kexts directory so I already had it installed.
Is there a way to provide you more information that may help you @michaelspeed ?
you can see the @striimer screen shot..and that to the kernel conf in clover. if that does not work. here is a link http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306777-guide-usb-fix-el-capitan-1011/ this is a very extensive guide.
but if i were u. i would drop the my clover config coz i think macbook air 2013 did not come with a i5. you can follow @striimer guide. as that is all what i did. if you don't understand feel free to ask.
edit: just saw ur procedure ... it looks like do an install once again. but leave out the OS X-usb-injectall
and instead use this-
btw i did install using that fix from clover.
I admit I am a bit confused by these guides. Didn't get to remote the problem so here some steps I did:
- Checking the USB Fix in Clover ACPI section causes a kernel panic at boot.
- Adding the Kext Patch to rename EHC1 to EH01 did nothing
- As you said the MB Air 6,2 came only with i7 or the specific i5-4250U and I have a i5-4200U so I changed SMBIOS to MacBook Pro 11,2 with i5/i7 support
- For the other guides: MacBookPro11,2-EHC1 in the Info.plist does not have port restrictions XHC/RHUB in DSDT does not contain any PRT Elements but HS01-HS15 and SSP1 - SSP6 Adding rename patch EHC2 -> EH02 does not work So I made no changes from these guides. As you provided a clover directory i assume the DSDT is already patched and I don't have the knowledge to follow these guides :(
I really hope to solve this problem without reinstalling the OS as I only upgraded previously to keep all my data. And everything else seems to work quite good.
what is your bios version?
read this http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/173616-guide-10-11-usb-changes-solutions.html
may be this can shed some light
I am currently using BIOS Version V2.30
ok mine is also the same but i m not sure whats wrong... try the tonymacx86 guide.
Okay it works now. The clover based patches did not work. I had to apply the following patches to my DSDT:
-
Fix PARSEOP_STORE/MMTB/HRPR Error (RehabMan)
-
USB3 _PRW 0x6D (instant wake) (RehabMan)
-
Rename EHC1 -> EH01 / EHC2 -> EH02:
# rename EHC1 to EH01 into device label EHC1 set_label begin EH01 end; into_all all code_regex EHC1\. replaceall_matched begin EH01. end; into_all all code_regex \.EHC1, replaceall_matched begin .EH01, end;
# rename EHC2 to EH02 into device label EHC2 set_label begin EH02 end; into_all all code_regex EHC2\. replaceall_matched begin EH02. end; into_all all code_regex \.EHC2, replaceall_matched begin .EH02, end;
great please upload ur files. if you can use git. create a branch. if you can't forward me the files.
Hi guys, i see you are messing with the v5-573.... i've tried Clover patches for USb, got partly working... after patching DSDT with Rehabman patches and adding 2 kexts, USB started work correct, also ports between USB2<>USB3 all my configuration works, everything, sleeps in any request, except shutdown is still the only problem, restart works fast in any case... did anyone resolved shutdown ? by the way i had shutdown problem when i firstly installed last year Win10 (clean install), after taking down windows updates problem solved. Now shuts down with linux, win10, but not with OS x... anybody know the medicine ?
#31 already adresses this problem. We haven´t found a solution yet. Currently I am forcing the 573 with the power button to shut down. This isn´t very comfortable but we are searching for a solution to get Restart and Shutdown work together.
i think only people having i5 has got this problem. i have got i7 have got usb from the start only without any DSDT fix. alt ought i still have the shutdown. sometimes its alright at other times the backlit keyboard is still on.
Yes, i have also i5 and seems it's the problematical model obviously... tried also all Clover conf options, like shutdown fix, mem fix and even do not remember anymore what all options was tested, nothing helped. When i started with El Capitan, i was almost sure, that it's usb problem , as usb is usual thing which prevents hardware from sleeping, restarting, shutting down..., but after resolving sleep and restart seems it's kind of bios malfunction, as i had also shutdown problem with win10 early... also did read windows user forums about V5-573 and some users reported that they had early shutdown problems with win8 and after downgrading intel management engine drivers version from default to older 9.5 that resolved the win8 shutdown... also did read common win10 install forums, where people reported shutdown problems with other Acer's, there was also suggested change IME settings.... also did read that IME incompatibility on v5-573 may influence shutdown problem after some time of working on windows machines (similar thing described Kaijun year ago), as with Yosemite immediate shutdown worked, but after couple of hours using not worked anymore. all of this brings to my mind the idea that maybe the shutdown problem is related to Intel drivers ? can anyone comment Intel driver issue/idea/problem ? probably new bios version can resolve the things, but seems Acer support does not do anything, as OS x is not them concern....
I cannot confirm right now that its the intel driver but your idea is a good starting point for further research. So maybe if someone finds new bits of information he can post it here so we can work together on a possible solution for this problem. As my new Wifi Chip is arriving in a few days the shutdown problem is the only one left (beside the model specific touch display).
I'm using Broadcom 94352hmb, wifi+bt, works like a charm, followed logs, seems no any harmful influence on sleep or etc... so i can suggest with El capitan Also i did apply "add imei" patch from Rehabman repository to the DSDT, did not resolve shutdown problem.
@michaelspeed I suppose your usb not working correct, similar situation i had before xmux kext install, i do not want to believe that your mouse is USB 3.0 version ? if it so it's correct, instead if it's regular USB 2.0, then it should not sit on the USB 3.0 bus, it should sit on USB 2.0 bus in your SysProfiler. If you install xmux kext you will get ports right, USB 2.0 mouse goes to the USB 2.0 bus Also you don't see any internal device connected to the USB 2.0 bus, they just not working.... i'll try later take screenshot from my laptop Profiler, you'll see what's all connected under the USB 2.0 tree
@michaelspeed
hi, added some screenshots from my machine
as you can see there are some native usb 2.0 devices under the usb 2.0 tree, like builtin webcam, also bt/wifi card bluetooth usb recognised, usb receiver is external mouse receiver
onto the usb 3.0 connected usb 3.0 flash pen with os x install flash stick (yes, usb 3.0 flash)
to get usb right working you need to fulfil 4 requirements, all previously described:
EHCx to EH0x patching
usb prw 06 patch from Rehabman repository
install usbinjectall kext
xmux kext
then your usb starts work correct
did you resolve previously asked brightness control ? i've tested both contrrollers intelbacklight and acpibacklight kexts from Rehabman repository, brightness control works with both, if everything installed right, you should see only hd4400 under graphics in SysProfiler, if you have example 2 graphic cards, (hd4400 + nvidia also) then your brightness never works), for brightness control nvidia should be completely disabled in dsdt.
So I observed something in the last days (I don´t use reboot that much so I didn´t notice before): Restart is some kind of roulette. Sometimes it just reboots and sometimes it shuts itself down. Regular Shutdown seems to always fail.
Brightness Controll works for me in the Settings panel but not with keyboard keys. Thats something to be resolved as you currently need 2 monitors to turn your integrated back on (if the value is too low so it is off).
@Silveryard Very strange, my v5-573g never shutted down so far with El Capitan, with Yosemite it worked. After clean install, even the reboot was very long, took around minute, when started boot up again, after resolving usb and other driver issues, reboot works nice and fast, unfortunately shutdown is not reachable so far. Brightness issue was more-or-less addressed to @michaelspeed, who asked about this month ago... But mapping the brightness physical keys is not big problem, i did it once in my Lenovo, followed the Rehabman guide. Needs just one dsdt patch and everything starts work. Busy times right now to resolve such comfort thing.... are you using evoreboot for the shutdown ? or how you did managed to shutdown it at least sometimes ? as it's already progress. Do you have also I5 model ? which patches you used for dsdt ?
Reboot was fast for me too at first. Now it seams to have slowed down. Also it seems to depend on a few other factors I cant say which ones. But it seams reasonably fast so I don´t mind.
I encountered the shutdown on reboot issue only twice. The other times it rebooted correctly. I do not have made any special changes regarding to shutdown/reboot.
You can see my kexts and dsdt on the el-capitan-10.11---i5-4200U-TouchScreen branch. Brief overview over my dsdt changes:
- Fix PARSEOP_STORE/MMTB/HRPR Error (RehabMan)
- USB3_PRW 0x6D (instant wake) (RehabMan)
- Rename EHC1 -> EH01 / EHC2 -> EH02
These should only affect usb and nothing else
help me
i'm use acer v5-573g-i7-4500u.
hello, i just find a way to solve it;
- Be sure SIP is off
- using OsxAptioFix2Drv instead of OsxAptioFixDrv
- if you have more than one Memory, update it in config.plist
i will upload a new Clover.zip for you later. 🎱
you can download the clover with https://github.com/V5OSX/clover/archive/master.zip
thanks. i usefull.
Hi guys! I'm back! Finally i get some time to play with hackintosh again 😌 . I just installed El captain and update new version of Clover.
Check the repo!
Later i will try making new DSDT/SSDTs from BIOS 2.30, i don't know if i still remember the procedure though.
cheers!!! I think maybe we can make a org repo for v5 clover, drivers and others ...
So what would you think ?
So wouln´t it be great to integrate both branches into master? Don´t know how well DSDT/SSDTs merge and everyone would get the fixes all hardwares can profit from without doing work twice
@llsf yeah! Sure, and different V5 models will have its own repo then.
@Silveryard you mean merging DSDT/SSDTs in other two branches into master? I think i should write some kind of tutorials for those who has different v5-573g model and want to modify his DSDT/SSDTs. So far i still don't know if all models sharing a similar or even same DSDT/SSDTs, or they're totally different.
You can see my dsdt changes a few posts above this. Also i have included a few kexts like ethernet. They should work for others as well.
The only major differences may be in the clover configuration. I dont have El Cap installed currently so I can´t tell. Missing brightness keys, wrong keyboard config and shutdown/sleep and touch issues are the biggest problems for me
@Silveryard @lsf
Do you guys have Sleep issue? Before i installed RTL8111, the laptop wake up immediately after sleep with Wake reason: HDEF
, after installing RTL8188, it seems that the laptop can't be woken up after sleep.
How is yours?
Wake up issue is not found, Maybe it was caused by 'hard drive sleep'? but there is a shutdown issue.
@llsf it seems that all shutdown/restart/sleep issues are related to the new USB3 mechanism of El Capitan. I'm still trying to fix this shit.
I tried the @striimer 's method to fix USB, patch EHC1->EH01 through Clover, two kexts made by Rehabman. Then USB seems to work properly.
And Shutdown issue seems to be solved (before fix of usb, the laptop can't be shut down when usb plugged... ). And my Shutdown Fix (check here) in DSDT is still same as the former one.
So i'm still confusing why you all are having the shutdown problem? Or is it the reason that i'm using the 2.30 Bios with DSDT extracted from 2.30 Bios?
Check the new Release 18.6.2016, It's totally new DSDT/SSDTs extracted from BIOS 2.30.
Besides, i also wrote a tutorial how i process these files. Check here.
It seems that all things work correctly as before. Shutdown issue after long time running still need to be tested. Don't know if the Intel ME solution mentioned here https://github.com/Kaijun/Acer-V5-573G-Hackintosh/issues/6#issuecomment-225346907 helps
Did anyone get the SD Card reader to work? AFAIK it didn´t recognize any cards last time I tried it.
Also: Where can I see all connected Devices? The Touchscreen seems to get recognized as a single Button mouse. But as I saw with my graphics tablet, OS X is capable of multitouch inputs (and it does this very well). So my next step would be to either make the Touchscreen work correctly or disable it completely.
@Silveryard I have no SD Card so i couldn't even test it... and with Touchscreen, you may try this? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304487-i2c-hid-touchscreens-trackpads-and-more/
Multitouching doesn't seem to work properly though with this driver
@Silveryard have you ever tried System Information.app
? will it give any results of your connected Touchscreen? I speculate that the touchscreen would probably be recognised as USB like the camera right?
So basically you can't disable it in DSDT, or you could actually, but you should disable the whole USB bus...
So an approach is: plug off the touchscreen controller from your motherboard... 😈
Thanks I will try those things.
Multitouch doesn´t have to work. Its a nice to have but no must have. I just found out that OSX seems to support a kind of multitouch as I have a graphics tablet that allows multitouch input next to pen input. And then you can like in iOS switch to the desktop with 4 fingers, slide between virtual desktops with 3 fingers etc. But it´s a huge problem that the screen generates random input when closing the lid.
The most hardcore way would be to plug off the controller yeah...
@Silveryard if your touchpad vendor is synaptics and u r using VoodooPS2, then the brightness keys are already fixed. Check the newest release.
Fn+Left / Right are working now 🎉
Hi, Do you have 3-finges gesture working?(I mean scrolling the desktops, mission control) Because it was present before and on EL Capitan doesn't work for me
Also do you have video bug with multiple apples(system loading)?
