• type #599eff #599eff
• goto start of line (first #)
• :VCoolor and pick something, e.g. #000000
• Line content is now #000000 #000000

Expected:

• Line content is #000000 #599eff

Already solved in the v2.0, just wait for it, I'll try to release it this month.

The code in the plugin is a mess (It was created more than 5 years ago as an introduction to vimscript), and no refactoring was done until recently (locally).
