Super awesome project

Hi,

@KSJaay You have done a fantastic job with this project, kudos to you!! What I really liked (and which most of other oss monitoring projects lacks), is the ability to create multiple status pages and also edit the look and feel! Also the "battery chart" looks so great 😀

A couple of questions:

  • Will it be possible to create monitoring groups in the future?
  • Is 2FA planned?
  • Will ICMP monitoring be implemented?

Feedback (using latest version as of today):

  • I noticed that I was not able set a status page to Public. After saving and or refreshing the browser it keeps saying Private.
  • I also noticed that after moving the Title header to the middle tile in a status page it did now appear center in the screen. After moving it back to the default right tile nothing changed.

I will look in to the code-base as soon as I have the time and I hope I could contribute!

Thanks! Yeah, I really hate how much customisability most applications lack when it comes to status pages. Currently working on a overhaul for monitor pages, a lot of new cool stuff coming soon 👀

Will it be possible to create monitoring groups in the future?

Is this for the status page? Similar to how Voice and Clients work on the discord status page? https://discordstatus.com/ I might be understanding groups a little bit incorrectly :D

Is 2FA planned?

Yes I defo want, but not sure when. I should really have a roadmap that's a bit easier to maintain and easily available for users other than the readme, there's a lot of stuff coming. At this point I have the roadmap ready for the next 1-3 years for this application.

Will ICMP monitoring be implemented?

I didn't even know ICMP was a type of protocol before today, I can add it to the list but will be a little while. Currently working on push and API tokens. I'll add ICMP to the list but it will be a while before I can add it.

If you want to contribute and add it, feel free! Hopefully the codebase is self documented enough and shouldn't be too hard.

That's interesting, I'll have a look into that now and try to get a fix out.

Yeah that header stuff is a little bit weird, I tried to use an external library and it was working correctly like 95% of the time, it's only when you switch it a bit too quick it messes up. Will look into a bit more and see if I can fix that some how.

Found the issue, it works as expected but the UI wasn't being updated properly. Will be fixed in the next PR.

Added support for ping/ICMP in https://github.com/KSJaay/Lunalytics/pull/111 PR. If you have any questions or concerns please raise questions in that PR.

What's left from this issue:

  • 2FA
  • Groups/Folders (In progress)
  • Fix issue when moving header for status page
