Where is it banned
Basically everywhere. And what he meant by that is they're not allowed to use the Spotify APIs anymore, so there's no point in calling the app "Spotube" anymore.
I have a similar opinion; it's too risky to keep the same name. Spotify could take legal action against the project. My suggestion would be sonube. It sounds similar but is a standalone name. If we stick with the old name, we risk the whole project having to go offline at some point.
There's no trademark or copyright issue with Spotube. It's only the usage of their (you know who) API in the app and their logo in our website. Other than that we're clean and legally not required change the name or logo of Spotube
