Unable to login on spotify account

Current Behavior

The application installs correctly, but when I try to log in to Spotify, nothing appears. The screen stays completely black. Is it possible to have a fix or a workaround for the problem? Thanks.

Expected Behavior

Spotify login where insert username and password will be appear.

Additional information

Lastfm login account appear and work but spotify login do not uppeare. I try to update chrome app and google app but the problem is still present.

I don't think is a duplicate. I try it on Android 10 and working fine. This appened only in my tablet on Android 7. Unfortunately, my tablet cannot be updated to a later version.

I'm getting the same issue on a BYD vehicle. Not sure what android version that is currently. Admittedly I don't have any Google apps on there... Is that a prerequisite for this to work? Or is it related to opening a browser but can't?

Try updating Android System WebView, it gave me that problem with Android 9 too and I solved it.

I try to update application on play store and say that no update is available. The spotify login does not appeare, while lastfm login appeare and permits to insert username and password but when you press login button an error appear.

Look for it outside the Playstore like APK Pure or similar

Are you logging in with apple, google, etc? For me it only works if your spotify acc has an email and pw.

My issue is that when i click sign in with Spotify, the entire app crashes, i dont even get a chance to sign in with email

I believe I am having a similar issue to the OP.

My Spotify login shows a blank white page in a new window when I first tried to sign in.

There is no app crash, and this has only been a problem on the Flat pack version of the app. The .deb version is working fine for me.

This might be unrelated to the crashing that other users are experiencing, or it could very well be related.

As the user above me has shown success in at least displaying the Spotify page, there might be more than one thing broken here.

I downloaded the AUR version spotube (not spotube-bin, as that also didn't work), yet the spotify login page is also blank for me. I really don't know what to do. Is it possible to maybe edit either the .desktop file or something else for Spotube, to change what is used for the webview?
