Says Spot tube cant be opened because apple cannot check it for malicious software

when i download for macos and try to open it says the software needs to be updated

This is a MacOS issue to my knowledge - it is not notarized by Apple. If you need to bypass this you can run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /path/to/app in the MacOS terminal (which can be risky depending on the software). That being said, it would be useful for it to comply with this
