Error / Freeze of QGIS upon import photos (CRITICAL!)

This is reproducible!

Below a screenshot of the error - and then QGIS freezes

How to reproduce? Select a layer to "Update Photos" Now click on "import photos" And select the folder and new file you wish to save it to..

This error doesn't happen if you don't click the "update photos" on any photo layer
