Error spawning cloned NPC equipped with Vic's Modern Warfare weapon

Basically when an NPC equipped with any item from Vic's Modern Warfare is saved to a mob cloner and then is spawned from the mob cloner menu, instead of spawning it sends an error message to the chat.

Unable to convert: 256bytes to a number: Line: 194, Pos: 38, Text: "Instance": [256 bytes]

It works fine with any other mod so I'm afraid this might be a problem with Vic's Modern Warfare. 1.7.10 open source request still pending. Anyway, if this is a problem with CustomNPC+, I hope the solution is as simple as fixing a typo.
