I'll check the Lemmy server repo, and if an issue doesn't exist I'll open one there. I've already opened one in the Lemmy-UI repo.

Would it perhaps be possible for the user to specify it themselves? There could be an option in the settings for a user to specify the link to the front...
What current technology limitations are you specifically referring to?
