Extend for GitHub API?

Are there many steps needed to extend this for GitHub?

The process there is similar and I guess only the API calls have to be changed or is there something big missing or different for GitHub that prevents this?

I suppose you can't update the certificate yet until GitHub adds support for that (isaacs/github/issues/156)...
