Julia has exited. [BUG]

Open a101010 opened this issue 5 years ago • 0 comments

This seems to be related to existing issues, but they have all be closed after reinstalling. No one seems to have taken the time to try and fix the underlying issues. So, to set expectations, I don't consider reinstalling to be a fix. I'd consider this closed when we understand how Juno gets in this state and the root cause is fixed so it can't get into that state again through normal use. Clearly plenty of people have experienced it.

Details

  • Atom version: 1.42.0
  • Julia version: 1.3.0
  • OS: windows 10
  • Package versions:
    • uber-juno: 0.3.0
    • Atom.jl: ? I can't see any such package or file on my system. Should I? It is part of the new issue template. But I can't see a package with this name in the atom package search results.
    • julia-client: 0.11.3
    • ink: 0.11.7
    • language-julia:0.19.2

Steps to reproduce

This, of course, is where it gets mysterious. From my perspective, I've installed uber-juno. It was working a few days ago. I open it today and now its not. I haven't done anything related to julia, juno, or atom since then.

Steps to reinstall

Uninstalling and reinstalling uber-juno doesn't seem to change anything. It leaves julia-client, etc installed and the behavior of the IDE doesn't change.

I also tried uninstalling julia-client, ink, the custom toolbar package (don't remember it's name) and language-julia, but reinstalling uber-juno didn't reinstall them.

I tried manually reinstalling julia-client. It also installed ink and language-julia. This seems to have temporarily recovered from the problem, although the toolbar no longer appears. The REPL restarts okay now, however. I'll update when it stops working again.
