Will this method work on almost any mediatek devices? Or only the devices that had firmware update before March 2020

If it only for the specific mediatek chipset, i would like to know the possible working list of the mediatek chipsets that work with this mtk su from mtk 6737 to....... I have this phone (vivo y81i) which is mediatek 6761 helio a22 and on the latest firmware update (2021). Is it because of the firmware update that this mtk su app wont be able to grant me a bootless root? If so how do i downgrade the firmware update without pc or is it even possible to do it without having a pc, i have tried downloading fews of firmware, put it on storage/sd card also and none of it work, getting error like the firmware update that im trying to install is lower than the current version. Plus: i also tried it on my brother phone real me 3 and its work well, after 5 months or something i tried it again and surprisingly its didn't work anymore, i check the phone settings and the firmware update were on 2021.

Im kinda frustrated and sad because this is the only way that i can get a root permission without a permanent one and without pc and without doing those confusing stuffs,i mean with one click of this app you can easily get a root acces. Also i be thinking to buy new phone just to use this apps but not sure which phones are and which mediatek chipsets required on a phone that i was about to buy.

You may sees some of this grammar error on some sentences ,sorry english is not my first language and since my middle school session ended ill just leave it behind, typing all of this with my basic English knowledge.

You'll have to downgrade to a firmware or OS version that is older than March 2020 since any update after that is bound to block the mtk-su exploit
