Support for Qwerty US international with dead key
Hello,
I would like to know if you can add support for the international QWERTY US layout with the support of dead keys ?
Unexpected keyboard only supports international QWERTY US at the moment.
This layout is very useful for all accents with a physical keyboard
Regards
Hi! The keyboard already has accents that work similarly to dead keys. All the accents are hidden by default unless you have the corresponding languages installed on your device. For example, if you have English US and French enabled in your settings, you'll see all the French accents even on the QWERTY layout.
Would adding languages in your device settings work for you ?
Alternatively, there's the "Show every accents" mode for the "Accents" option, which will show every accents the keyboard supports.
Were you able to make the dead keys work ? The keyboard currently supports a limited number of languages and knows only a few dead keys. Which keys do you wish were on the keyboard ?
Let me explain this step by step
When connecting a usb c - to usb c keyboard to my android phone or via bluetooth :
- I select unexexpected keyboard - English International Style when the physical keyboard is connected
- What is okay : when I try to make a "è" it works (combination of dead key "`" (acute) + "e" key) when I try to make a "ẽ" it works too ( combination of dead key "~" (tilde)+ "e" key) when I try to make a "ê" it works too ( combination of dead key "^" (circumflex) + "e" key)
- What is not okay : é = combination of dead key "´" (single quote) + "e" key - ë = combination of dead key "¨" (double quote) + "e" key ç (cedilla) = combination of dead key "´" (single quote) + "c"
Could you please have a look on those combinations ?

Thanks for the follow-up. The keyboard shouldn't interfere with the physical layout but I didn't manage to test that with the emulator yet.
Does the dead-keys work as you expect with the other keyboard apps ?
