Do not feature Calculator++ in the README
Featured apps may suddenly become unmaintained or against what Unexpected Keyboard stands for so I think other software should not be featured in Unexpected Keyboard's README.
I was hoping that people would suggest more apps to add to this list. I think of it as a modest contribution to other open source apps. Do you think Calculator++ is changing to be against what Unexpected Keyboard stands for ?

The original version of Calculator++ which is on Google Play includes ads and in-app purchases. The forked version on F-Droid was last updated in November 2023 and the version before that in March 2020.

good point, never thought about that
I am thinking that the sources of something good musn't be relevant. The important is that thing. Also, if you have been unfluenced, inspirated or supported by anyone it is only fair to acknowledge them
Besides that not opensourcing your code nor wanting to monetize it are not inherently bad things
at any case, sparsing knowledge should ptevail over those aesthetical things
just in case, being prudent, i would append something like "at the time of writing"

what type of apps?
regardling keyboards, Authorized is an FDroid Floss app focused on security, like password managers, but less pedantic, and keyb based. Has sense to use together UK. Or to incorporate the former in the last...
The Play app "keyboard switcher" is very useful when you are wtitting UK custom lays. Your keyb used to get broken and with this app you dont have to enter android settings to enable any other keyb. With the app is is just two ckicks

Imo, it is nice to mention other projects that use simmilar concepts. If people don't like linked software for whatever reason, just rewrite the portion with different commentary to take the fact into account.
For instance 8vim is mentioning 8pen, because it aims to provide simmilar input method.
