2nd level referrals
Background
Currently, people only get referral rewards from the creators that join with their referral link, and any member can do this, not only members of YPP. However, if someone refers a creator, and that creator refers a set of new creators X, then the original referrer gets no reward for the joining of X. This means that certain key types of referrers may expend less effort, take less brand risk, because they cannot capture any value from this downstream activity.
Proposal
Let us contemplate a change where anyone is also given X% (fixed globally) reward of signup reward of anyone who is referred by someone the original person referred, so basically two levels of indirection. This has to be reflected
- on the landing page: I believe there may already be designs for this on Figma. Obviously the issue here is how to explain the presence of this 2nd-level reward.

- reward computation: must now incorporate 2-level referrals
Am I missing anything?
Lets first determine the scope of activities required to make this this work, before we start executing.
Hello, Referrals landing page is done by Kuba and it includes the second level referrals so there's no need there for my work ✅ You can find it under this link: https://www.figma.com/file/AHeOPBgaJxmZb0zamEHhq8/Referrals?type=design&node-id=1109-5042&mode=design&t=rvE6RA8UcJKZQumB-4
- I've added the referrals section to the YPP landing page. Also I've changed the "sign up in 60s" section as requested. I removed the video and added a CTA so that the whole section is not only informative but also user can do the action right away.
You can find whole design of updated YPP page here in the exploration file: https://www.figma.com/file/zjLkmoiswz29vlnXLmJv2f/YPP-landing-explorations?type=design&node-id=5036-8539&mode=design&t=sK2cVBTU5YPpEOnT-4
Ok great, lets do it!
