Cache is not working on the Unraid server
Good time of the day. First of all, thank you very much for putting it all in one place for us to be able to easily install it on our Unraid machines. However, i've yet been able to run it the way it supposed to be working.
For some reason, the only thing that gets cached is Steam Client Installer
, apart from that, nothing else is cached.
Here are some screenshots of configuration and LanCache Diagnostics
:
When i download something from steam (delete and install the game again), for every 100 mb of data, cache Net I/O in docker stats
only goes up by about 10-100 kb.
Some domains sometimes resolve to the local cache 192.168.2.200
, however, most of the times they do resolve to the original domains. I've updated my Unifi USG to use the cache as a primary DNS server and 1.1.1.1
as a secondary, same with Windows installation on one of my machines (others just using the USG to resolve, and they behave the same way, sometimes they resolve to cache, but most of the time to the real IPs).
Also, with diagnostics, most of the time all of the cards
are red or yellow (i know why some are red as they are disabled in the config), but most of the time only 10-25% of the domains are resolved to cache.
I've seriously have no idea what is wrong with it and was hoping that you will be able to help me to figure this out.

This is how it looks when i start downloading game on Steam
And this is how it looks after the download, as you can see, no visible changes to the
lancache-bundle
container
I have a symmetrical 1000/1000Mbps, so downloading games from internet is not a big issue, but sometimes those services are pretty slow (speed tops @ 160-240Mbps) hence why i want to make a lancache
for downloaded content
thats not a lancache issue, if you prodivde multiple dns servers some routers/oses use them random...
