Definitely a bug but currently not fixable. Will have to wait for Playnite 11 rewrite.

Try changing output audio API in the settings.
Audio API options are no longer available after we changed audio engine from NAudio to SDL2. I can't replicate the issue myself, looks probably like some audio driver issue.
This is currently only half implemented. In Playnite 11 there will be separate "estimated install size" for this that metadata plugins will be able to populate.
