Distribution on Homebrew
Hey, any reason for not distributing on Homebrew? If you like I can create the formula for it quite easily and submit it to be included, just need a release (part of their policy is not to accept anything HEAD-only, so need a github release) it would be awesome to add it to homebrew as thats where I and I am sure many other look for things on macos first, and it makes for simple, unified package management.
Hi. Lack of time, really!
I would gladly accept your offer to create a formula. What do you need from me?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Wow that was a quick reply! Really all I need is for you to tag a release so that I can satisfy the "Formulae in the core repository must have a stable version tagged by the upstream project" policy, anything else that would have been needed you have already done!
I assume you mean I just need to tag a commit, though correct me if I misinterpreted.
In that case, I have tagged the current commit under the "stable" tag. https://github.com/Jorl17/jar2app/tree/stable
Hey, could you version it for me please? 1.0 or something?
Done :)
one last thing, what would you like me to use as a test? [edit] any simple, small jar to include in the repo for testing (just got to show that it a, installed correctly and b, can build an app from a jar), or some test inbuilt would be fantastic!
I will look into this later today and provide a simple test jar, thanks for the hard work! :)
This issue is still open, so could someone tell me what the progress is for this? @ibrokemypie @Jorl17
Nothing still? :(
Oh my, I completely forgot about this!! I'm so sorry. I'll try to get a simple test jar tomorrow.
I am also looking forward to this!
I'm interested about this too... What's the status?
In case someone is still interested, I created a private tap quite some time ago.

Cool! Why not make a pull request into brew core?
The last “stable” version is very old and you need to provide one to get it accepted. If @Jorl17 decides to release another one, I could send a PR. Also, using a private tap isn’t that difficult :)
Fair enough :)
