No new "Generate BibTeX Labels" menu is Endnote X7 in Mac OSX

Open hemedocx opened this issue 10 years ago • 7 comments

I added BibTeX-Label-Creator.dll into the folder of Applications/Endnote X7/Plugins. Restart Endnote ( I even rebooted my computer). But I didn't see a new menu of Generate BibTeX Labels under Tools. Thanks!

Try putting it in the My Documents/Endnote/Plugins folder. This is assuming you're running windows.

Does your plugin work in Mac Osx? I tried to add the plug-in under 'Documents / plugin/' in Mac, which doesn't work either.

It currently doesn't work under Mac os. It's possible though, you just need to compile the source code, I can't do this since I don't have access to a Mac. On 28/12/2015 8:08 am, "hemedocx" [email protected] wrote:

@hemedocx Hi, I've compiled a version using osxcross and macports. Please try this file and tell me if it works:

@JonnoFTW Thank you for working on this issue. I guess it is not that straightforward to use .dylib file, because I didn't see any change after adding it to the folder of Applications/Endnote X7/Plugins. I did a quick search about .dylib file, and it seems there are a lot of new stuff for me to learn. I will get back to you after figuring out how to use .dylib file with Endnote. Thanks again!

Is your version of endnote 32bit or 64bit?
