JavaFX app detection is broken with 1.8.0_144 release

Scenic View is unable to detect JavaFX applications when using 1.8.0_144. I have confirmation of this from another user, who says that with 1.8.0_141, it was working for him, but not with the latest release.

Launching from console doesn't seem to show anything going wrong. Also, I did reset the JDK path: no change.

So I have no clue to help solve this. Would be happy to help if I can.
