[BUG] FakeStandby not closing after tapping the screen multiple times nor swiping up.

Open SleepDaemon opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Describe the bug In the app it says you can disable it by tapping the screen 4 time back to back. But when I do it doesnt work, nor does swiping up is any better as when i do swipe up it closes the music app instead of fakestandby black screen.

To Reproduce Just tap screen 4 times or swipe up

Expected behavior Suppose to close the fakestandby black screen.

Screenshots ill send some later

Device information:

  • Device: Samsung S22+ (Qualcomm variant)
  • Android Version: Latest OneUI 4 update
  • App Version: 1.3.2

Suggestion: Maybe take inspiration from this app, its called "Black Screen: video screen off". here is link to app store page: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.japp.blackscreen&hl=en&gl=US

@SleepDaemon

Just tap screen 4 times or swipe up

You have to tap simultaneously with 4 fingers. Not tap 4 times individually.

I see thanks, I suggest maybe update the text so it says 4 fingers cause current one says "tap the screen with 4 or more simultaneous touches" it makes sound like you need to tap the screen 4 times or more not with how many fingers.

I'll create sperate issue for this, but I can suggest an option where the app utilizes an AOD similar to Black screen app. It doesn't use the built in AOD but rather has its own AOD which only uses it if the user ever toggle AOD in settings.

Black screen custom AOD: Screenshot_20220718-051146_Black Screen.png

Yes, please make a new issue for that.

The string could be more concise, maybe. But also: "simultaneous touches" means many touches at the same time to me. And this is exactly what you need. The app constantly checks for more than 3 distinct touches at the same point in time, and unlocks if it finds them. That it requires the same amount of fingers to achieve those touches is a consequence of those circumstances.

I was also confused at first. Maybe making bold the "simultaneous" part would help a lot and be a easy fix.
