After click icon and count disappears

First off, thanks for the work on this script.

It works fine for me on localhost, but on wpEngine - whenever I click the like link - it disappears. I refresh the page, and it is as if nothing was clicked.

Could this be an issue with the wpEngine's cache layering?

Literally just noticed this after pushing to live. I would imagine it is going to be because of WP Engines caching.

If I can figure out a way to bypass/fix I will post back.

After talking with WP Engine they said if there was a cookie in the plugin they could add an exception for it so that it worked.

@JonMasterson how much would you charge to make this happen? Not sure the difficulty of it.

Hi I had the same problem, either icon and counter disappeared, or they reported undefined. After setting up the code as a plugin, it worked fine for me. Thank you for the code. theo

how did you solve? I also have the same problem with the cache, it does not display the vote count and icon once the page is refreshed, please help me
