Just wanted to drop a note to acknowledge your suggestion. It seems reasonable. I'd like to have at least one other recommendation before adding it to the doc, though.

Have no strong opinion on this. Haven't heard about it before. If people are using it, why not?

Byobu is popular with Ubuntu and has lots of features like multiple screens, multiple views split vertically and horizontally. If I look on Wikipedia, there are 9 ones listed. I suppose Screen/Tmux/Byobu/Twin seem to be the most prevalant/recent and are open source. I can add those ones in.
