Update dependencies to support Node@10

A number of crashes are starting to be reported, as having the same pattern of running on node, version 10.

Last time we visited this #37 this was quite a hard thing to do, but in the time since then most dependencies (most likely) have been updated.

This issue is here to track updating the project to the most recent node release.
