[Underworld 2] R-Click input spam while moving
(I copied my vanilla game.gog back in to check, and this bug does not occur on vanilla UWII for me)
The bug is such: when standing still, inputs such as examine, grab etc do single clean inputs... but whilst moving with wasd, they spam a dozen plus times a second, causing me to juggle objects into walls while trying to grab them, or spamming examine on walls so fast I might miss a secret wall if panning the camera too fast. Even clicking as fast as I can will do 2 inputs usually, or more. Q/E using the mod's added inputs do perfectly fine clean inputs even when moving, so those aren't affected. I even had a hunch as old games have exhibited issues for me on 1000 polling rate on my gaming mouse in the past, but alas turning it to 125 (minimum I can do) did nothing. Worth a try anyway.
I recorded this video to show the bug, I hope this is enough information. I am able to give you more if you need it, there's some text in the video to explain a bit, but I'm not too good at explaining this kind of thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghz-C1ZJAkU
thanks very much for reporting this!
I have discovered something more. It doesn't do it if I disable all the options (grab, examine) and just do the contextual right click, so when close it will grab or when far it'll examine an object or wall etc. It's only when I press the Function button to highlight eg. Grab that it spams permanently. It does spam sometimes in this mode on walls specifically, examining the dozen times a second it was doing, but it stops upon mousing to another object after one examine of that object. If I'm in examine mode, it'll just continue to spam as I drag the mouse around all the objects in a room. Hope this further helps.
some questions, just to make sure:
- are you using the version of DOSBox that comes along with the game from GOG, or something else?
- have you edited or changed the DOSBox configuration from what GOG installs?
- what kind of mouse are you using? do you have any macros set up on it?
1.Yes, straight from gog install, then extracted the game.gog, edited, made back into an iso with WinISO, then renamed to game.gog from game.iso. I also tried changing the gog ini tto see the folder as iso, and using the folder instead of making it back into game.gog to see if that'd fix it. It did not.

I changed the game to windowed, and resolution to 1280x800 so that it was bigger on my 1080p screen, switched to opengl from overlay to make this work (I just reset the ini to default to make sure this wasn't causing it, so fullscreen, in overlay mode.. didn't fix it. Good to be thorough though)

I use a Steelseries Rival 500, my default profile for the mouse doesn't have any non-default settings except to set DPI to static at 900, and 1000 polling rate, As mentioned before I tried all the way down to 125 and it did nothing.
okay, thanks very much for the thorough info!
Can confirm this is still present
