Description of issue / Feature request

Right after installing 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 (via Aerial Companion) I lost input on both my external (bluetooth) and MBP internal keyboards for a few seconds (enough time for me to spam a few keys on each, before they magically started responding again).

I didn't have debug mode enabled, so unfortunately have no logs for you. The first time I thought this was something completely random but it's happened twice now, and right after an Aerial update in both cases.

Hey there @atdr

So just to clarify, this happened during the update process that was running in the background through Companion ? Can you clarify how you setup Companion (auto update in the background or not).

Trying to think of what could be happenning, I'm wondering if the update process when running in the background may steel focus ? If I understand right, you were typing in an other app at the time ?

I have Companion set to 'Notify Me'. In both cases I noticed the menu bar icon, clicked update, the icon disappeared (as I think it does when the update is complete), so I continued with whatever else I was doing before—then noticed I no longer had any keyboard input for a few seconds. Today specifically I swiped back to Safari and tried to type a web address but got no input despite—as far as I can remember—the address bar having focus.

Ok that's super weird then. I'll try to have reproduce tomorrow and get back to you (update does take like 5 secs usually max). I need to dive again into the code of companion tomorrow, I'll have a look then.

Got it again today w/ 2.3.3

Here's a video https://youtu.be/4pK6XyO5qZM

The update seemed to take longer and the Aerial Companion menu didn't disappear for a while (was almost instantaneous the past couple of times I think)

@atdr sorry about that, I was busy then and then forgot about your issue. With that said, I watched your video and it looks like you are running an old build (1.1). However it gives me some good info on how exactly you are using it, so thanks for that.

May I suggest you install this more up to date build : https://github.com/glouel/AerialCompanion/releases/download/v1.2.1beta2/AerialCompanion.dmg

You can try reproducing the problem by removing manually Aerial.saver from ~/Library/Screen Savers/ as that should prompt you to reinstall. Again sorry about that.
