Wrong orientation after merge.

I have a recorded video url from app camera, when saving my video to photos it is in portrait. However when merge with certain image output being rotated to landscape.

it appears that the resolution flips. My players continue to play it in the right orientation, but if I look at the playback info in VLC I can see that the resolution numbers have changed places. Very odd.
