\\ cannot be write by typing function

I maybe found an edge case I ask typing this text : \\TRUENAS\aquiniou\3D\SCENE\png It write \TRUENAS\aquiniou\3D\SCENE\png

It's seem that \\ is impossible to write. Is this a wanted limitation ?
