aws lightsail need restart after every 24 hour for keep continious service

I use AWS Lightsail. However, after every 24 hours, my VPN stops working. I then have to go back to my Lightsail server, stop it, restart it, and reconfigure the process. After doing so, it works fine. At first, I thought the issue might be with the Outline VPN itself. I considered that since I live in China, the issue might be related to the IP address. To test this theory, I attempted using a static IP, but unfortunately, nothing seems to resolve the problem. Can you please provide guidance on how to solve this issue?

hi you should be attached public IP to each instance, then you don't need to reboot and reconfigure every 24 h

I also experienced this yesterday. The server ran fine for a few hours and sometime during the night it appears to have crashed although the Lightsail console says it is running. I have assigned a static IP address and upon rebooting the server this morning and testing the connection everything was working.

What would cause the server to crash?

Here are the specs of the instance: 512 MB RAM, 2 vCPUs, 20 GB SSD

I've fixed everyday hanging on aws lightsail with turning off apt updates:

sudo systemctl disable --now apt-daily-upgrade.timer
sudo systemctl disable --now apt-daily.service
sudo systemctl disable --now apt-daily.timer
sudo systemctl disable --now dpkg-db-backup.service
sudo systemctl disable --now dpkg-db-backup.timer
sudo systemctl disable --now man-db.timer
sudo systemctl disable --now man-db.service

Look it was failed with OOM https://github.com/Jigsaw-Code/outline-server/issues/416#issuecomment-2309635658
