but its working on my laptop with old version of kali ( 6.1.0)
when i update linux on my laptop and try to connect its keep reconnecting like my pc
i tried to run the old kernel thats worked before but have no luck
i think there are something with network manager or system configs have been updated with the new versions of kali thats are not compatible with the current version of outline
Got exactly same problem on Arch Linux (6.4.15-x64v3-xanmod1 kernel), Outline Version 1.11.0 (468189). Tried to clear configs and reinstall, no luck. Because of constant reconnect websites with 50% chance fail to load (ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED)

yes , same problem here . LMAO , I reinstall my Linux OS coz I think that the problem is only occur in me .
I have this problem too (6.5.3-1-MANJARO)
The same problem on 6.1.53-1-MANJARO
Seems like similar to https://github.com/Jigsaw-Code/outline-client/issues/1709
@r7vme yes , but they didnt solve it because he was arch
Thanks for reaching out! Tagging this as a feature request since we do not currently support Kali Linux.
These linked issues (both #1709 which links to #1685) aren't feature requests to support OSes but to fix a bug with the client. I understand that it seems some updated packages in the affected OSes may be causing an issue, but it's still a bug not a feature request, which seems really odd to mark it as such. I don't think the intended solution is just to use another client as it seems to be the only fix currently for us experiencing this issue.
I am experiencing this issue on the latest Arch kernel as well (using EndeavorOS flavor) with the same issue everyone else is mentioning in these related issues.
Hi @brandons209 , I apologize for the inconvenience, but due to limited staffing, we are only officially supporting the Ubuntu distribution of Linux at this time. We have developed a command line interface for Outline VPN here: https://github.com/Jigsaw-Code/outline-sdk/tree/main/x/examples/outline-cli. Please feel free to try it on a different Linux distribution and contribute to the project if you encounter any issues. Thanks.
I have the same issue on Ubuntu

The same issue on Ubuntu 23.10. Outline-Client.AppImage 1.12.1
The same issue on Fedora 39 Outline-Client.AppImage v1.12.1 (471860) Linux kernel 6.6.9-200.fc39.x86_64
Same Ubuntu 23.10 Outline Version 1.12.1 (471860)
Same Ubuntu 23.10 Outline Version 1.12.1
Outline VPN is somehow working anyway. But those iternal reconnections every couple of seconds looks like a problem to me. Any chances for this bug to be fixed in nearest future?
Also, is there a way to integrate this connection to a Gnome's Network settings like Wireguard do? So that we could click on the top right menu item and with second click could activate/deactivate the VPN connection.
There is a temporary solution to use Outline CLI VPN client. It work fine on Linux without reconnections. See https://github.com/Jigsaw-Code/outline-sdk/tree/main/x/examples/outline-cli
Still no fix for Outline GUI VPN client for new 6.x.x kernel. It reconnect every couple of seconds.
Also no Outline VPN plugin for GNOME NetworkManager.
Thank you all for reporting this. Let's use this issue to track the support of Kali Linux.
Since the issue seems to be happening in Ubuntu as well, I created a new issue tracking the reconnecting problem: https://github.com/Jigsaw-Code/outline-apps/issues/1959 . Please feel free to upvote the comment there if you've met similar reconnecting issues.
Hi @konstantin83 , thanks for reporting this.
Adding VPN integration to Gnome settings is a great idea. Please create a separate issue for tracking.
We have a lot on our plate right now. In the meantime, Outline CLI should work. The code is a lot simpler than the GUI app as well, please feel free to contribute code if you're up for it!

suddenly outline is not working, it is getting disconnected after 2-3 mins, and every time it is asking for sudo PWD. Previously, there was no issue.
@qisantanu , please try Outline CLI, as Kali is not officially supported by Outline Client.
@pybotoff , did you try Outline CLI? And what was the error?
I have the same problem en ubuntu 24.04
