Using gyro roll inputs for left/right aim translation?
I've been trying out gyro + flick stick today and wow, it works amazingly well. However, one thing I've noticed that I involuntarily do quite often when an enemy appears in my peripheral vision, is to roll the DualShock about its (forward) x-axis in the hopes that my aim will translate left/right, when in fact I should be yawing the DualShock about its (upward) z-axis.
As such, I was wondering if there's an option to bind left/right translation in-game to clockwise/counter-clockwise roll of the DualShock about its (forward) x-axis instead of clockwise/counter-clockwise yaw about its (upward) z-axis. Or, maybe even better, to allow both roll and yaw to contribute towards left/right translation.
Hi! I'm glad you're enjoying it :) You can control it that way like so: MOUSE_X_FROM_GYRO_AXIS = Z
Currently there's not a way to do both at the same time, though I've seen that Overwatch on Switch does that, and I think it's a good option to have in future.
