Future of this repository

GEOS-Chem benchmarking package gcpy has a copy of much of the content of this repo. When I adapted it I was unsure if this repository would be further developed and supported. I see a PR was just done which indicates perhaps it is still active. Would you recommend using cubedsphere as a git submodule in gcpy rather than as a copy?

I've been spending too much time in Fortran. I mean use the package, but not as a submodule.

I think further updates should go into GCPy directly. This repo is more like a reference implemention, without GEOS-Chem-specific features (I wrote it originally for FV3)
