html 태그 제외한 text 만 가져올 수 있을까요?

Add any other context about the problem here. 에디터의 html 태그를 제외한 순수 텍스트만 가져오고 싶은데 api에서 getText() 가 있던데 실제 사용해보니 not a function 이 나와서 확인해보니까 react 에서 사용가능하다는 글을 봤습니다. getText()는 react 에서만 사용가능한 게 맞는지요? react 사용 않고서는 순수 텍스트만 가져오는 메소드 혹은 다른 방법이 있는지 궁금합니다.
