All "yes" to all future "regular" questions?

Open HubKing opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I am using AUR, and when updating the system with yay, I often have to press enter numerous times over the course of the update.

Describe the solution you'd like

I wish there is some answer, I don't know, like aa to answer all future "regular" questions with "yes", at the first question, which is usually "packages to exclude". By regular, I mean the standard questions, other then unusual error handling questions, like

  • Packages to cleanBuild?
  • Diffs to show?
  • Proceed with installation? [Y/n] (for the official repositories)
  • Proceed with installation? [Y/n] (for AUR)

Describe alternatives you've considered

Using some sort of launch parameter to the yay command itself to show no confirmation at all (e.g., yay --no-confirmation-at-all, hypothetically) isn't good for me, because I want to see the list of available updates and decide whether I want to exit or continue to update the system. If there are no interesting updates (e.g., only some rarely used packages and its documents, etc), I would want to exit yay, instead of updating the system, and update the system later.
