[IDEA] Introduce a vanilla dark palette
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. At present, the vanilla palette only has a light variant, which makes supporting dark palettes harder (like the testcase colors in dark palettes in #9004)
Describe the solution you'd like Add a vanilla dark palette for dark palettes to inherit from. This will make supporting dark palttes and incorporating dark mode mechanism better.
I do have a lot of pending "draft" palette PRs https://github.com/TiddlyWiki/TiddlyWiki5/pulls/pmario that are intended to be merged in the next upcoming TW version.
There is a second PR from "flibbles" Simple colors for all testcase-accent-level-1 #9053 which should fix the testcase-problem.
I did create 2 plugins. palette-switcher and palette-watch which can be used to easily switch between light and dark mode.
You can select one of the existing dark-modes if you want. Or you can use one to start from.
Hi @Leilei332 the updates in #8702 will allow us to offer a revised Vanilla palette that is adaptable so that it can function in both dark and light mode. In the meantime, I would be against any substantive changes to palette handling before v5.4.0.
https://mws.tiddlywiki.com/ also has a light/dark palette that uses the system preference. It uses CSS variables, so changing is almost instant.
