My TiddlyWiki with German umlauts (UTF-8 encoded) is not displayed correctly.

I think that this is the issue with Dropbox incorrectly parsing the character encoding of HTML files. Can you try manually editting your TiddlyWiki file to add a few unicode characters. For example, try adding this meta tag:

<meta name="utf8beacon" content="éçñøåá—" />

Let me know how you get on

I added German umlauts (ä, ö, ü, ...) this way but what happened is this:

"Gespräch" converts to "Gespr䣨".

When I add a new tiddler with umlauts, they are correctly displayed locally though. Any ideas?

Hi @yodayeti apologies for the late reply. If you're able to send me your example file via email (to [email protected]), I'd be happy to have a look at it and see if I can figure out what's going on,

Cheers

Jeremy
