Same issue. It seems to be related to the `filterType: "custom"`option.

The error you're getting and the fact you made config changes makes me think this is a config issue, but your config looks fine and the config file isn't JSON...

I switched to MongoDB and I'm now able to filter as expected - so I believe this is related to Postgres.

Also having this issue.
