device monitoring not working when host goes to sleep

Hi,

The new device monitoring does to reconnect the terminal serial port (ttyS0). I have gtkterm running and put the host (PC) into standby. later when waking it up, the terminal does not continue with communication via /dev/ttyS0. I have either to restart the application or enter port configuration and press ok.
